Man arrested in historical sexual assault investigation has case adjourned

A suspect charged following an investigation into historical sexual assault in Richmond Co. is scheduled to return to court in the fall.

RCMP say it happened in different areas of Isle Madame in the 1970s.

Adolphe Patrick Kehoe, 85, of River Bourgeois has been charged with sexual assault; he was released from custody.

Kehoe, whose case opened in court in August, was expected back for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until Sept. 30.

It was also adjourned in January and March, and when his lawyer said his client was in hospital in September and December.
