FAST season continues with “The Goodnight Bird”

It’s opening night for the third performance of the 2019 Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre season.

The Main Stage series features four performances- three comedies and one musical presentation.

Reema Fuller, the managing director of Festival Antigonish, tells The Hawk “The Goodnight Bird” is a dark comedy.

“It’s a little heavy, a little light,” she says. “We’re really excited to have a great cast for that, including Mary-Colin Chisholm, who hasn’t been on our stage in a very long time and is from Antigonish originally- it’s really exciting to have her back on stage for this play.”

Show time is 8 p.m.; there was a preview performance Wednesday night.

“Ben Hur” and “A Brimful of Asha” opened in July; “Honkey Tonk Blue” debuts Saturday.

“If You Could Wear my Sneakers” opened on the Family Stage in July.
