Richmond Co. drug bust suspect has case adjourned

A man charged in relation to a drug bust in Richmond Co. is scheduled to return to court in November.

RCMP say officers searched a home in West Arichat in September.

They say they seized cocaine, hash, marijuana, cutting agent, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Police charged Jonathan Roger Vance, 26, with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and three weapons-related counts.

Vance pleaded guilty during an election-and-plea hearing in May, while one of the weapons counts was withdrawn in July; his sentencing hearing took place in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Thursday.

A verdict is expected Nov. 19.
