Man arrested in Inverness Co. vehicle checkpoint pleads not guilty

A Shubenacadie man charged following a vehicle checkpoint in Inverness Co. has entered a not guilty plea in the case.

RCMP say they laid drug charges after officers found cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle in Mabou in Sept. 2017.

The case of Dwight Barkhouse, 36, opened in court in Oct. 2017.

Barkhouse pleaded not guilty in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Tuesday; he’s scheduled to stand trial May 11.
