More information released in fatal Antigonish Co. crash

Police have released more details regarding a fatal three-vehicle crash in Antigonish Co.

They say a car pulled out into the intersection of Hwy. 4 and Beech Hill Rd. in front of a logging truck at roughly 7:20 a.m. Monday.

RCMP say the truck hit the car, then another car waiting to turn at the same intersection.

They say the Toronto man, 41, driving the first car died at the scene; the driver of the logging truck and the second car weren’t hurt.

That area was closed to traffic in all directions for roughly eight-and-a-half hours- until 4 p.m.- while police investigated.
