A pair of basketball players have been named the first StFX athletes of the week of 2020.
Guard Justin Andrew earned male honours after he recorded a game-high 25 points and added five rebounds and three assists in Saturday’s 85-73 road win against UNB; he was named player of the game.
Briar MacDonald, a forward from Antigonish, is the female winner; she scored a game-high 15 points and added four rebounds, one block and an assist in Saturday’s 73-61 road loss to UNB.
