One of two teens arrested in relation to a hold-and-secure at a local school is scheduled to return to court Wednesday.
RCMP say officers were called to Dr. J.H. Gillis Regional High in Antigonish in November.
They say one person suffered minor injuries when they were assaulted by two others.
Police say they charged a 17-year-old and 14-year-old with assault; the 17-year-old also faced a breach charge.
The boys, who were released on conditions to have no contact with the victim, made their first court appearances in the case during an arraignment hearing Feb. 5.
The 17-year-old pleaded guilty to both his charges, and was sentenced to eight months of probation Feb. 26; the 14-year-old is expected for an election-and-plea hearing in Antigonish Youth Court at 1:30 p.m.
In a letter, school officials told parents and guardians a hold-and-secure was in place for roughly 15 minutes during the altercation.
