Weapons threat leads to CB-VRCE closures

Schools and offices within the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education will remain closed Friday- and it has nothing to do with COVID-19.

Officials say what police consider to be a credible weapons threat was made against students and staff members at several schools Thursday.

They say they’re keeping all of their schools and offices closed as a result.

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating the threats.
