COVID-19 forces abrupt end to minor hockey season

The impact of COVID-19 is being felt at the minor hockey level.

Officials with Hockey Canada have cancelled all of their sanctioned on and off-ice activities, effective Friday.

That includes the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League playoffs, the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League provincials in Antigonish, the Strait Richmond Minor Hockey Association’s March Break tournament in Port Hawkesbury and Louisdale, and any other tournaments, games or practices.

The cancellation is in effect until further notice.
