Construction has begun on the long-awaited highway twinning between Antigonish and Sutherlands River.
The province says Dexter Nova Alliance broke ground on the 38 km project Friday.
The province awarded the $718,000,000 contract to the group, led by Dexter Construction and Antigonish-based Nova Construction, in May.
The construction along Hwy. 104 is expected to be completed in 2023.
