Bathroom attack suspect has child porn case adjourned

The suspect in a bathroom attack in Port Hawkesbury has had his case adjourned.

RCMP say 50-year-old James Darren Peters faces a charge of possession of child pornography.

Police say they found child pornography following a search of his L’Ardoise home in October.

They say they searched his home after police arrested Peters in March following a pair of sexual assaults on young boys at stores in Port Hawkesbury and in Sydney in August.

He’s set to appear on the child pornography charges in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on Sept. 12.

Peters is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury on Oct. 30, 2020 and in Sydney on Jan. 26, 2021 on the sexual assault charges.
