Four more candidates for upcoming elections

Four more candidates have announced their intention to run in the upcoming municipal elections.

Antigonish Co. District 7 Councillor John Dunbar is reoffering, he was first elected in 2016.

Andrew Murray is running for Antigonish town council once again, he won in 2016.

Lynn Chisholm has put her name forward for Inverness Co. District 5; she’ll be running against incumbent, and current warden, Betty Ann MacQuarrie.

Mike Diggdon has thrown his hat into the ring to represent Richmond County District 2; he’s running against former councillor Gerry Bourque.

Richmond County District 2 incumbent, and deputy warden, Alvin Martell has announced he won’t be in the race.

The polling day for the 2020 municipal elections is Oct. 17.
