A man charged in the Cassidy Bernard case is expected back in court in November.
Dwight Austin Isadore, 21, of Wagmatcook faces a count of second-degree murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend, as well as two counts of abandoning a child.
Bernard, a 22-year-old mother of infant twins, was found dead in a We’koqma’q home in Oct. 2018; her children were found by her side.
RCMP announced the charges against Isadore in December; he’s been in custody since his arrest.
In Wagmatcook Provincial Court Tuesday, the judge in Isadore’s preliminary hearing ruled there was enough evidence to commence with a judge and jury trial in Port Hawkesbury Supreme Court.
The hearing to set a date for that trial is scheduled for Nov. 13.
The hearing was also adjourned in January and February.
