River Denys’ Colten Ellis was the Islanders’ back-up goalie; Antigonish’s Sean Stewart was also in the Charlottetown lineup.
The Mooseheads (10-14-6), who had their two-game winning streak snapped, are fifth in the sixth-team Maritimes Division in terms of points percentage, behind Moncton for fourth, and ahead of last-place Cape Breton.
Charlottetown leads the season series between the teams 9-2.
