Pedestrian struck in Port Hawkesbury hit-and-run

Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Port Hawkesbury.

They say it happened on Paint St. at roughly 10:30 a.m. Friday.

RCMP say a pedestrian had left a business when they were struck in a parking lot, and the driver fled.

They say the victim, who was taken to Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston by a driver with a local taxi company, suffered minor injuries.

Police say there’s no word on charges, but their investigation continues.
