Crash knocks out power in Antigonish Co.

A motor vehicle collision left close to 1,000 people in the eastern end of Antigonish Co. without power for roughly 10 hours.

It happened in the Aulds Cove area- near the Cape Hill- Wednesday afternoon.

Nova Scotia Power’s website indicates the crash knocked out power just before 2 p.m.

The outage affected homes and businesses from Aulds Cove to Monastery; power was restored some time before midnight.

There’s no word on injuries from the crash.
