Annual gift to Boston cut and wrapped

The Tree for Boston is on its way.

Lands and Forestry Minister Derek Mombourquette was in Dundee Thursday morning for the tree cutting.

The tree was donated by Heather and Tony Sampson of West Bay.

Every year the province sends a Tree to Boston to thank the city for aid it provided following the Halifax explosion in 1917.

There are typically a number of events for the Tree for Boston, but they have all been cancelled this year in the face of COVID-19.
