Antigonish RCMP lay weapons charges following bar fight

Police say they’ve laid weapons-related charges after a fight at a pub in Antigonish.

They say officers responded to a fight at a pub on College St. at roughly 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.

RCMP say one of the people involved was carrying two knives.

They say they arrested several people.

Police say a 21-year-old man from Antigonish has been charged with weapon possession, carrying a concealed weapon, assault, causing a disturbance and a breach.

They say he was kept in custody overnight; he made an appearance in Antigonish Provincial Court Thursday.
