A double-medallist from the Special Olympics World Games will be honoured in her hometown Friday.
Kristina Richard of Antigonish won gold in the 4x400m relay and bronze in the 200m event at the recent global competition in Abu Dhabi, posting personal best times in both events.
A parade in Antigonish starts behind the old post office building on Main St. at 1 p.m.; it will end up at the East Coast Credit Union Social Enterprise Centre.
That will be followed by a reception.
