A basketball player and hockey player are the latest StFX athletes of the week.
Daniel Passley, a guard with the X-Men basketball team, is the male winner.
Passley recorded a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday’s double-overtime home loss to Cape Breton in Antigonish; he had 17 points and eight rebounds in Friday’s road win against UPEI in Charlottetown.
Tyra Meropoulis, an X-Women hockey forward, earned female honours after she recorded five points in StFX’s 5-2 road win against Dalhousie in Halifax Wednesday.
Meropoulis assisted on the first two goals, then scored the next three for a natural hat-trick; she was named player of the game.
