Three new locations will have before and after school programs in the Quad Counties for the upcoming 2019-20 school year.
Zach Churchill, the province’s education minister, announced the expansion of the program Tuesday.
Tamarac Education Centre in Port Hawkesbury, Bayview Education Centre in Port Hood, and St. Mary’s Education Centre in Sherbrooke will offer the program starting in 2019-20; East Antigonish Education Centre/Academy in Monastery and Chedabucto Education Centre/Academy in Guysborough already provide the service.
Churchill also announced bus service will be available for eligible pre-primary children at more sites; the additional busing is focused on rural areas for the upcoming year, including schools within the Strait Regional Centre for Education.
