Bulldogs entertain Eagles

The Antigonish Bulldogs are on home ice in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.

They host the Eskasoni Eagles.

The Bulldogs (16-13-0), who have won two of their last three, are third in the six-team Sid Rowe Division with 32 points, four points ahead of fourth-place Pictou Co.; the Eagles (7-19-1), already eliminated from postseason contention, are fifth with 15 points.

Dave Synishin, Antigonish’s head coach, tells The Hawk he wants to get his team to be more responsible with the puck as the regular season winds down.

“The last couple of games, even the win against Pictou (Sunday), our puck management has been pretty poor at times, so it’s something that we talk about a lot and work on,” he says. “A focus for me, as coach, is really to be talking about that and bringing that to the forefront.”

It’s the fourth and final game of the season between the teams; the Bulldogs have won two of the first three.

Puck drop at the Antigonish Arena is 7:30 p.m.
