An early closure for the Canso Canal.
Marine vessels won’t be able to pass through starting November 24.
Normally, the canal closes on December 24, but work on the north gates needs to be done.
The passage through the Causeway will re-open in April, over 2,000 ships pass through each year.
Next year the canal will close in November again, as work will happen on the south gates.
