Cape Breton West Islanders hire new assistant coach

The Cape Breton West Islanders of the Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League have hired former player Andrew Boyle as an Assistant Coach. He joins Head Coach Mike MacDonald, returning Assistant Coach Keenan
Gillis and video coach Nick Muise as members of the Islanders Coaching Staff.

Andrew previously played with the Islanders during the 2014-2016 seasons before moving on to the Antigonish Bulldogs where he played 5 years and captained the team for his final 2 seasons.

He graduated from St.FX University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics in 2021 and moved on to complete his Education degree in 2023.

He spent the past 3 seasons as an assistant coach for The Nova U15’s.
