Car crash victim, para-athlete takes home track and field medal

A para-athlete from Inverness Co. has earned a medal at the 2018 Canadian Track and Field Championships in Ottawa.

Dillon MacMillan, of Judique, won bronze in the T54 class of the 400-metre wheelchair race recently.

It was his first ever appearance at the para nationals.

The 23-year-old lost the use of his legs in a single-vehicle crash in Harbourview that left three of his friends dead in July of 2013.
