Check our Bank Account Tomorrow: Grocery Benefit Arrives

The GST/HST Credit has been renamed the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit.

Tomorrow is the first payment date, so keep an eye on your bank account! The new benefit is 25% higher than the old GST/HST Credit and is designed to help low- and modest-income households. If you previously received the GST/HST Credit, there’s a good chance you’ll qualify for this benefit as well.

Here’s how much you could receive:

• Single adult: Up to $169.75 every 3 months ($679 per year)

• Couple: Up to $222.50 every 3 months ($890 per year)

• Each eligible child: Up to $58.50 every 3 months ($234 per year)
