The 2020 edition of the Chestico Days Summer Festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
In a release Wednesday, members of the organizing committee said they made the decision with guidance from public health, and because of health and safety issues related to the virus.
Committee Chair Lynn Chisholm said it was an unprecedented decision in the 42-year history of the Port Hood festival.
Organizing committee members said they’re planning for the festival to return in 2021.
