An Inverness County man who died in a motorcycle accident on the weekend has been identified.
72-year-old Joseph Bernard ‘’Bernie’’ LaPierre from Chéticamp died when his motorcycle was in a collision with a second motorcycle.
Inverness District RCMP say they responded to a call around 5 p.m. on Saturday about a collision involving two motorcycles in Grand Étang.
They say the Cheticamp man died at the scene.
RCMP say the rider of the other motorcycle, a 67-year-old man from Halifax County was transported to the QEII in Halifax with serious injuries.
RCMP say the investigation is on-going.
