Construction worker assaulted at Antigonish job site

A construction worker was assaulted by a member of the public while on the job in Antigonish.

The town says it happened Thursday at one of the construction sites. Details remain few and where it happened is not clear.

The town says this behavior is disappointing and unacceptable.

“Every individual on-site is simply doing their job – and every person has the right to a safe working environment,” says the Town.

The Town asks the public to treat all workers with respect, and aggressive or harmful behavior will not be tolerated.
