There are three StFX athletes of the week.
Paul MacLellan, a member of the X-Men cross country team, is the male winner; he finished second in the AUS men’s championship 8km race with a time of 25:40 in Fredericton Saturday.
Katie Pentz, a second row with the X-Women rugby team, and Jane Hergett, an X-Women cross country runner, are co-winners of the female award.
Pentz led StFX in tackles in Saturday’s 29-17 win against Acadia in the AUS championship game in Antigonish Saturday; Hergett finished second in the AUS women’s championship 8km race with a time of 30:43 Saturday.
X-Men running back Chase Bowden, defensive back Cole Virtanen, and kicker/punter Keiran Burnham are the final StFX football players of the 2019 season following Saturday’s 14-4 win against Saint Mary’s in Halifax Saturday.
