Delorey says Liberals have a proven record

A fiscally responsible way out of the pandemic.

That’s what the Liberal candidate for Antigonish said the party brings to the table.

Incumbent Randy Delorey told the Hawk there’s an obvious need to spend to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, but we need a balanced approach.

“To chart a path that supports all Nova Scotians, supports our healthcare system, but does so in a way that doesn’t bankrupt the next generation.”

Delorey says the Liberals have a proven track record for fiscal responsibility and pandemic response.

He said the measures the party took during the pandemic were required, but long term recovery requires a cautious and thoughtful approach.

“We also know that any new commitments and expenditures that come forward, have to be ones that we can afford, not just in the short term, but over the long term as well,” he said. “We owe a responsibility to the next generation as well to work hard to live within our fiscal capacity.”

Delorey has held the riding of Antigonish for the Liberals since 2013.
