Officials and parishioners in the Diocese of Antigonish say farewell to Bishop Brian Dunn Sunday.
Dunn was installed as bishop in Jan. 2010; he served until he was appointed to the Diocese of Halifax-Yarmouth in July.
He’ll remain the apostolic administrator of the Antigonish diocese until the appointment of a new bishop.
Diocese officials are hosting a gathering for Dunn; it starts with a 4 p.m. mass at St. Ninian Cathedral, which is followed by a reception at St. Ninian Place.
