Director says it was a banner year for Celtic Colours

The Artistic Director of the Celtic Colours Festival says, it was another great year.

The 23rd annual event wrapped up Saturday.

Dawn Beaton tells The Hawk they had a bump in ticket sales this year.

“We had more shows sold-out going into the festival this year than any other prior year,” she says. “We’re really happy with all the support, both from local Cape Bretoners and visitors, and I think all the shows were a smashing success.”

Beaton says it’s the kind of good sign for the festival they like to see, and she’s looking forward to doing it again next year.
