Doucette expected in Bridgewater court
A suspect arrested following a six-day manhunt is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Police arrested Tobias Charles Doucette, 31, near Bridgewater early Sunday.
Doucette is accused of assaulting his common-law partner and stabbing a police officer in the neck in a Bridgewater hotel room July 20; he’s also accused of stabbing a police dog during his pursuit.
RCMP say he was trying to steal a vehicle when he was arrested.
Doucette, who is originally from Richmond Co., he faces a total of nine charges in the case, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon; he’s expected in Bridgewater Provincial Court.
