Driver charged following Antigonish car-pedestrian collision

Police say they’ve laid charges after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Antigonish.

They say it happened on James St. at roughly 6:40 p.m. Sunday.

RCMP say a young person was trying to cross the street in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a car; paramedics took him to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They say they’ve charged the New Glasgow man, 69, who was driving with failing to yield to a pedestrian in an intersection.
