The Yarmouth area was lightly shaken by an earthquake off the coast of the province.
The quake, which happened 32 kilometres off the west coast of Yarmouth at a depth of 18 kilometres, was recorded at approximately 1:48 p.m. Wednesday.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.5.
