An Eskasoni man is in a Halifax Hospital following an assault.
RCMP say they responded to a call Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. in Eskasoni First Nation regarding an overnight assault against a man at a home on Castle Bay Road
Eskasoni RCMP say the victim was transported to Cape Breton Regional Hospital and later airlifted to Halifax with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
RCMP say a 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman both from Eskasoni were arrested at a home on Castle Bay Road.
They face charges of Assault With a weapon and Aggravated Assault.
The people involved are all known to one another.
The investigation is ongoing.
