About The Dusty Halos
With celestial harmonies, intricate fingerstyle guitar, and sonorous upright bass, The Dusty Halos combine the textures of old time acoustic music with deeply personal songs.
Since forming in Halifax in 2022, The Dusty Halos have garnered attention for their songcraft and intimate vocal chemistry. Following their debut at a folk festival in a barn outside Antigonish, they have performed on stages in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Toronto, and Montreal. Over the past fours years, The Dusty Halos have developed a stage performance that blends traditional folk music forms with original songwriting haunting melodies, and raw emotions.
The Dusty Halos have released two EPs, the most recent being 2025’s Keep Us This Night, featuring five warmly-sung songs that will gently break your heart. The single “Little Bird” has received radio play across Canada.
Fans of singer-songwriter-folk musicians such as The Be Good Tanyas, Gillian Welch, and Adrian Lenker will find much to savour in these songs. Weaving themes of heartbreak and longing into tuneful tapestries, The Dusty Halos explore the interplay of
light and darkness, finding solace in the shadows.
