A long-time Liberal MP is stepping away from federal politics.
Mark Eyking has announced he won’t run in October’s election.
He has represented the federal riding of Sydney-Victoria for 19 years; he was first elected in Nov. 2000, and re-elected five times.
In a social media post, Eyking says he’s had a great run, but it’s time to move to the next chapter.
He says he wishes nothing but the best to the next MP elected to represent Sydney-Victoria.
