A fatal crash occurred on Highway 7 in Melrose.
It happened late yesterday afternoon when a motorcycle struck the shoulder of the road.
The police, EMS, and local fire crews responded to the crash and the motorcycle driver and passenger both aged 64 were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Highway was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
The Guysborough County District RCMP are continuing to investigate.
