A local fire hall will be without its generator for a couple weeks.
Mulgrave Mayor Ralph Hadley says officials moved a backup generator to the site last month, and now the main generator has been sent away for repairs.
Hadley tells The Hawk the damage was considerable.
“They took the big generator out of the fire department, they sent it to Halifax to get repaired, and it should be fine when it comes back,” she says. “It should be back within two weeks.”
Hadley says the total cost of the repairs will be about $7500.
