Four new cases, two potential exposures

Four new active infections bring the provincial COVID-19 case total to 19.

The Department of Health and Wellness reports the new cases are in household members of people in existing clusters in the central and northern zones.

Officials are also warning of another two potential exposures: Air Canada flight AC0622 from Toronto to Halifax Friday and in New Minas at the Chrismaria Family Restaurant on October 24th.

Meanwhile, municipalities are getting a helping hand from the province.

In a release, Department of Municipal Affairs officials say they are providing $67.5 million in Safe Restart Agreement funding.

They say that is to cover municipality’s operating costs while facing reduced service and fee revenue and overall increased expenses due of COVID-19.
