Fraser announces federal funding for Internet improvements

Officials with the federal government have announced funding to bring new or improved high-speed Internet service to some communities in Antigonish and Guysborough counties.

The total cost for the Goshen Fibre Backbone is almost $153,000.

The project will expand broadband to 225 homes in the Goshen, West Lochaber, and North Lochaber areas.

Work is expected to start in 2020.

Sean Fraser, the MP for Central Nova, announced the funding Thursday morning.
