Youth-led groups in a few Quad Counties communities have gotten a boost.
The Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation and RBC Foundation have announced up to $15,000 in funding for groups working to make social or environmental change in seven of the province’s First Nation Communities.
In the Quad Counties, groups in the Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation… Potlotek First Nation… And We’koqma’q First Nation are receiving funding.
The exact amount for each group hasn’t been announced yet; that will happen during grant ceremonies in each of the communities.
