Funding for wastewater improvements in Canso

All three levels of government are improving wastewater management in Canso.

The Municipality of Guysborough, the province and federal governments are giving over $350 thousand to the project.

It’s for an equalization tank and an aeration system to treat additional wastewater flows in the area.

MP for Cape Breton-Canso Mike Kelloway says it will ensure Canso can manage waste and stormwater for years to come.

Guysborough Warden Vernon Pitts says he appreciates the other levels of government for sharing the same goal.
