Galloping Cows receives $90,000 from ACOA

A local business is receiving funding from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.

The MP for Cape Breton-Canso announced Galloping Cows Fine Foods will receive a non-repayable $90,000 investment.

Rodger Cuzner made the announcement on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains.

The funding is from the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy which is a two-billion-dollar investment that seeks to double the number of women-owned businesses by 2025.

Joanne Schmidt is the owner of Galloping Cows in Port Hood and they say the company is expanding sales into Mexico, the Caribbean and South America.

Rodger Cuzner says the Government of Canada is proud to help women business leaders like Schmidt grow their companies, create jobs, and enhance their communities.
