Guysborough Memorial Hospital ER Closure

There is a temporary closure of an emergency department in the Quad Counties.

The ER at the Guysborough Memorial Hospital will shut down this week.

The closure will start at 8 a.m. Tuesday and will remain in place until Saturday at 8 a.m.

Officials with the Nova Scotia Health Authority say the reason for the temporary closure is physician unavailability.

You’re asked to go to another ER or call 911 with a medical emergency during the upcoming closure; you can call 811 for any non-urgent issues.
