Heating Assistance Rebate Program for 2020/2021

Winter is quickly approaching and with it, comes the colder weather. Maybe you have already turned your heat on. (I have!)

Not everyone can turn on the heat without carefully considering their budget. With that in mind, the Heating Assistance Rebate Program is available to Nova Scotians again this year.

The program provides a rebate of up to $200 to low-income Nova Scotians who pay for their own heat. More than 45,000 Nova Scotians received the heating rebate in 2019-20

To qualify for the program, the income threshold is $29,000 for single person households and $44,000 for households with more than 1 person.
