The first StFX athletes of the week for the new year have been announced.
Chase Marchand, the X-Men’s goaltender, is the male winner after he made 22 saves in Friday’s 1-0 loss to Dalhousie in Halifax; he was named the game’s third star.
Carley Molnar, the X-Women’s goaltender, earned female honours following a 17-save shutout against UNB at home Friday night; it was her fifth shutout of the season.
