The Coady has received a high-profile kick-off to a fundraising campaign.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, well-known actors and activists, have donated $200,000 to support Indigenous women’s leadership at the Antigonish institute on the campus of StFX.
The couple’s donation was announced as part of the launch of a $1 million fundraising campaign to support the Coady’s Indigenous programming and International Centre for Women’s Leadership.
Eileen Alma, the centre’s director, says it adds a tremendous boost to their effort to amplify Indigenous women’s voices locally and globally.
